Mother’s day is a great time to treat the mother figure in your life to something you know they will love! If we’re being honest, this year will be a tough Mother’s Day for our family. It is the first year that Pam’s mom, Nancy, is no longer with us after a tough battle with a respiratory virus called RSV last summer. Losing someone you were so close to puts a bit of a shadow over all holidays for a while because you can feel the huge hole that they used to fill, but especially on Mother's Day. On a happier note, we are determined to make it a nice day and to be grateful for the mother-daughter relationship that we have with each other. Of course, Pam clearly loves anything travel-related, so we have put together a new list of gifts that we hope will spark some ideas for gifting to the travel-loving moms in your life!

travel must-haves:
As we've probably said before, once you try packing cubes, you don't go back! Any organized mom would enjoy a set like this that they can mix and match depending on the trip. Be sure to get their favorite color!
2. An E-Reader -
We are big fans of a Kindle! The Paperwhite version is simple, light, and perfect for beach days. We don't really need all of the bells & whistles of other tablets on vacation! Consider putting some of your favorite books on it for a little extra gift.
Pam absolutely loves a casual crossbody purse to wear on travel days. We recently received one straight from Florence, Italy from our friends at Tornabuoni Tuscany. You can't go wrong with that leather smell and quality Italian craftsmanship to remind them of Italy!
4. Portable charger -
For the mom who's phone is always dying in the middle of the day from all of those photos and videos, make sure they have an external battery like this one that they can keep handy on those long days.
Personal gifts:
Since many moms love the opportunity to decorate with family photos, these maps allow you to add in your own photos for a personalized gift.
You can never have too many coffee cups to take on-the-go, right?! There are lots of beautiful designs to choose from, but Pam loved that this one allows you to personalize the names.
Every travel lover has a skyline that has stuck with them! We're seriously eyeing the Rome and Barcelona versions of this necklace. You can also choose from silver, gold, or rose gold. So cute!

1. Tickets to a concert or play she would enjoy -
Now that events are back on, a pair of tickets to a concert or a play would definitely be a welcome gift! You can plan to attend an event during a trip, or just go to one locally. We have some great outdoor concert venues around us that we will definitely be utilizing throughout the summer!
2. An Airbnb Experience or Viator -
Already have a fun trip planned, but want to do something new? We love booking an Airbnb Experience or something through Viator that we can do together to have a unique and fun day!
3. A spa day -
This one always makes the list...Do we need to say more? Whether it's a massage, facial, or both, a spa-day is hard to beat! Even at home or traveling, you can find a spa near you and go together to make it a girls day, or gift mom a certificate to pamper herself!
